If VAT is added to your order is controlled by if you are an operator of commercial conveyance of passengers or goods, if the shipping address is to a EU member state and if you have provided a valid VAT number. This in according to rules below:
Orders will be shipped without VAT during the following conditions:
Commercial Airline, Shipping address "All Countries"
Supplies relating to aircrafts for commercial conveyance of passengers or goods are exempt from VAT according to chapter 3, paragraph 21 in the Swedish VAT Act. Shipping within EU a valid VAT No. needs to be supplied during registration, othervise Swedish VAT will be added.
Non Commercial Airline (All types of business), Shipping address is to an EU Member state
Intra Community supply according to Article 138 VAT Directive. Shipping within EU a valid VAT No. needs to be supplied during registration, othervise Swedish VAT will be added.
Non Commercial Airline (All types of business), Shipping address is to a country outside the EU
Export of goods according to Article 146 VAT Directive
In all other cases 25% Swedish VAT will be added to your order.
A number can be invalid for a number of reasons. In the first case, check that the number quoted is correct (correct number of characters, correct length). If the number quoted , even after checking, continues to be invalid, please contact your tax administration.
The Commission´s web site is a real-time system which checks the validity of VAT identification numbers against the databases maintained by Member States. In other words, when the number is checked, it is the database of that EU Member State that is being checked.
If the VAT number comes up as invalid, then you should take the matter up with your fiscal administration.
